Ed Byrne joins Frontier Sports Management

We’re delighted to confirm that Leinster and Ireland prop Ed Byrne has joined up with Frontier Sports Management

Ed made his Leinster debut in Febuary 2014 and recently achieved a lifelong ambition of playing for Ireland, receiving his first cap in October 2020 vs Italy.

Ed got his first taste of Rugby at Carlow R.F.C, encouraged there by his older brother Mark. Ed and his twin brother Bryan, a professional with Bristol, instantly took to Rugby. Ed proceeded to Clongowes Wood College, where he won a Junior Cup and competed in a remarkable 3 consecutive Senior Cup finals, winning two of them.

Ed then graduated into the Leinster system and despite two serious injury setbacks, Ed has gone on to accumulate 69 caps for his province, collecting 4 PRO14 titles along the way, as well as 4 caps for Ireland.

Chris Best, Head of Talent at Frontier Sports Management is delighted with the signing of Ed “I am really looking forward to working with Ed, he is about to enter his prime years as a prop and he is still developing his game. I think he will continue to thrive with Leinster and will be pushing for a starting birth with Ireland very soon”. Further, “Ed is a real gentleman and recognised as a leader amongst his peers in Leinster, we look forward to connecting him with the right type of brands”
